ChatTCP for Windows Now Available in Microsoft Store

Ever since ChatTCP was released, many users have reached out to us via email expressing their desire for a Windows version of ChatTCP. For a long time, ChatTCP was only available as a macOS App, so we wanted to complete the lineup with a Windows version.
Since ChatTCP's core capabilities are written in Go, we recently learned about Wails, an open-source Go framework capable of developing cross-platform desktop applications. We used this framework without hesitation.
The development process went smoothly, except that Wails currently lacks support for opening multiple windows. We solved this by starting child processes, and we look forward to future updates from Wails. We sincerely thank the developers of the Wails framework.
With the help of AI, we actually completed the UI development in just one week. The reason it took so long to release was that we were stuck on the application signing issue.
If we don't sign the application, users downloading it will see it reported as unsafe software by browsers, and it could be blocked from running by the system or removed by antivirus software.
In order for every user to trust our binary files, we had to solve the application signing problem.
However, EV code signing certificates are too expensive, and we cannot afford them. As you know, our product pricing is very low. This is to allow more users to use our product, and we always maintain low-cost operations. EV certificates are too expensive; if we had to choose an EV certificate, our product pricing would inevitably increase.
After thinking about it for a long time, we decided to try the lowest-cost way to gain trust by publishing the product to the Microsoft Store. Therefore, this process slowed down our release schedule.
It took exactly two weeks from submitting for review to being approved and published. We are very happy to announce that the Windows version of ChatTCP is finally released today!
If you encounter any bugs while using it, please give us feedback, and we will fix them as soon as possible!
