ChatTCP Terms of Service

Welcome to ChatTCP (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"). By using this service, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as "Terms"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

ChatTCP is dedicated to providing developers and network engineers worldwide with efficient and intuitive network protocol analysis solutions. This service includes an online analysis platform and an offline desktop application (collectively, the "Service"). Our core features cover protocol parsing of PCAP files, visual traffic analysis, AI-assisted diagnostics, and protocol learning examples. We aim to lower the barrier to network troubleshooting and protocol learning through technical innovation.

Online Service: Supports users in uploading PCAP files to view and analyze PCAP files online.

Offline Application: Provides a locally installed desktop application for viewing and analyzing PCAP files in an offline environment.

Specific features may vary depending on the version or updates.

Special Note: This service only supports the parsing of plaintext protocols or known application-layer protocols. It does not support the decryption of encrypted protocols (such as HTTPS, TLS/SSL, WSS, etc.). We do not provide any technical means for cracking encrypted communications.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have obtained consent from a legal guardian, to use this service.

3. User Accounts and Login

Online Service: You can use Apple, GitHub and Google authorization login methods to access this service. After logging in, we may obtain your email address for contact purposes (only for service-related matters).

Offline Application: You can use Apple, GitHub and Google authorization login methods to sync subscription status and user information. After logging in, we may obtain your email address for subscription status synchronization and service-related matters.

You should properly safeguard your account information and be responsible for your usage behavior.

4. Acceptable Use

When using this service, you agree to:

Online Service:

  • Only upload PCAP files that you own or have the right to analyze;
  • Do not upload data containing illegal content, sensitive personal information, private data, passwords, keys, etc.;

Offline Application:

  • Only analyze PCAP files that you own or have the right to analyze;
  • Do not analyze data containing illegal content, sensitive personal information, private data, passwords, keys, etc.;

General Rules:

  • Do not use this service for illegal, offensive, fraudulent, or network security-threatening activities;
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.1. Offline Application Usage Rules

If you use the ChatTCP offline application, you must also comply with the following additional rules:

  • Only download and install the application from the Apple Store to ensure software security;
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the application;
  • Do not use the application for commercial distribution or resale;
  • The offline application may not include all features of the online version, such as MCP services, etc.;
  • Data storage and processing in the offline application are performed on your local device. We recommend that you take necessary local security measures, as we cannot intervene in or guarantee the security of data in your local environment.

5. Service Modifications and Termination

We are committed to continuously optimizing the service experience. We reserve the right to update, suspend, or terminate this service (or any part thereof) due to technical upgrades, legal compliance, or business adjustments (subject to the special guarantees in Section 10.3). For significant changes affecting core user rights, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via website announcements, email, or in-app notifications.

We may update these service terms from time to time, and updated terms will be published on this page. Your continued use of the service indicates acceptance of the latest terms.

6. User Content

Online Service: The PCAP files and related content you upload are owned by you or the corresponding rights holders. We do not store your uploaded content for long periods (except for analysis purposes). We will implement industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect the security and confidentiality of your data during transmission and temporary processing. You are responsible for the legality and compliance of the uploaded content.

Offline Application: The PCAP files and related content you analyze are owned by you or the corresponding rights holders. Since all data processing is performed on your local device, we do not access, store, or process your data. You are responsible for the security and compliance of your local device and data.

7. Third-Party Services

This service may use the following third-party services or technologies:

Online Service:

  • Apple / GitHub / Google authorization login
  • PayPal payment platform (for subscription and paid features)
  • WeChat Pay (for subscription and paid features)
  • Creem payment platform (for subscription and paid features)
  • AI features supported by third-party model services (such as DeepSeek)

Offline Application:

  • Apple / GitHub / Google authorization login
  • Apple in-app purchases

We are not responsible for the service content, privacy policies, or behavior of the above third parties.

9. Disclaimer

This service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive to provide stable and accurate services but do not provide an absolute legal guarantee for the absolute stability, continuity, or suitability for a particular purpose of the service.

  • Analysis results, AI assistant responses, and other content are for reference only and do not constitute professional advice;
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any direct or indirect losses arising from the use of this service shall be limited to the amount of your most recent subscription fee;
  • You shall ensure the legality of uploaded data and usage methods and bear the corresponding compliance risks.

10. Refund & Cancellation Policy

10.1 Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with ChatTCP.

  • Online Subscriptions: You may apply for a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you are not satisfied with the service, provided that the use of AI analysis counts or related quotas included in the plan is less than 10%.
  • Auto-renewal: All recurring subscriptions (e.g., monthly or annual) have auto-renewal enabled by default. You can cancel at any time at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Apple In-App Purchases: If you made a purchase through Apple, all refund requests must follow Apple's policies and be submitted via the Apple Support Center.
  • PayPal / WeChat Pay / Creem: For orders paid through these platforms, you can apply through the respective platform's dispute center or contact support@chattcp.com directly. We will verify and process the request within 5 working days of receipt.

10.2 Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your recurring subscription at any time.

  • Online Service: You can manage and cancel your subscription through your PayPal account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
  • Apple In-App Purchases: Manage or cancel subscriptions via your Apple ID account settings.

10.3 Lifetime Subscription Guarantee

For users who purchase a Lifetime plan, we commit to maintaining the normal operation and service availability of the product for at least 36 months (three years) from the date of your subscription. If the product ceases service prematurely within this period and support can no longer be provided due to force majeure, business adjustments, or other special reasons, we will protect your rights in one of the following ways:

  1. Open Source Solution: We will open-source the core code of the product and provide necessary guidance so that every user can deploy and continue to use it independently;
  2. Refund Solution: You can contact us to apply for a full refund for that lifetime subscription order.

11. MCP Usage Rules

Online Service: When using ChatTCP MCP Server, you must comply with the following rules:

  1. Experimental Nature: MCP integration features may be in testing or limited release status, and feature stability, availability, and scope may be adjusted at any time. We do not make commitments regarding feature completeness.
  2. Permission Restrictions: You may only use MCP features within the scope explicitly supported by this service, and may be subject to restrictions on request frequency, call counts, file size, etc. (e.g., 10 requests/minute, or specific version limitations).
  3. Prohibition of Abuse: It is prohibited to use MCP interfaces for malicious calls, high-frequency attacks, bypassing restrictions, automated script attacks, data scraping, or other violations.
  4. Data Security: Context, prompts, and data content transmitted through MCP should be data you legally own or have the right to process. You should ensure its compliance, and we will process relevant data according to the security standards agreed upon in these Terms.
  5. No Data Storage Guarantee: MCP-related interaction content is usually not permanently saved, and we do not provide MCP data export, backup, or historical record query services.
  6. Liability Statement: MCP features are for auxiliary use only and should not be relied upon for critical business decisions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or incidental problems arising from the use of MCP features.

We reserve the right to adjust, restrict, or close MCP integration features at any time, and we will notify you at least one month in advance via website announcements or email.

Offline Application: The offline application does not provide MCP features.

12. Digital Delivery Policy

ChatTCP provides digital services. No physical goods will be shipped.

  • Activation: Pro features and subscription benefits will be automatically activated immediately after the payment platform confirms successful payment.
  • Access: You can access paid features by logging into your account on the online platform or syncing your status in the desktop application.
  • Pricing: All service prices are based on the final amount displayed on the payment page. Prices may include taxes collected according to applicable laws.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties; failing that, they shall be submitted to the competent courts in Nanning, Guangxi, China, for litigation.
